AlFursan Endurance AlUla is the ultimate test of man and horse against time and the elements, where riders navigate AlUla’s unique and rugged desert terrain. Highlighting the prowess of the native Arabian horse, the endurance riding event offers the highest prize money in the sport and is a must-attend for equestrian enthusiasts.
In its sixth edition in 2025, AlFursan Endurance AlUla showcased the pinnacle of endurance riding, featuring elite riders and their horses, in a test of strength, speed, and resilience across two days.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup saw elite riders race against the elements, and time, navigating 120km of AlUla’s unique and rugged desert terrain.
For the first time in the history of the event, Mutadil Endurance Cup was sanctioned as a three-star ride (CEI 3) by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). Stretching across a gruelling 160km, this progression was a significant step towards preparing for the 2026 FEI world championship that will be hosted in AlUla.
From equestrian fans to families and children, there was something for everyone. With live performances and a dedicated kids zone, the two-day event provided an engaging experience for all age groups.
AlUla has a long history of horse-riding and equestrianism, extending thousands of years and several civilisations back in time. Drawing on the region’s heritage, training programmes and new opportunities have been created for local horse riders and community members.
