Design Space AlUla

A dynamic design space

Design Space AlUla is a new centre for design in the region celebrating works of local and international creatives. Located in the heart of the AlJadidah Arts District, the space explores and engages with practices from around the world filtered through the lens of AlUla’s cultural and natural landscapes. It aims to fuel creative inquiry and expression through a programme of collaboration and exchange, creating a space for designers, architects, urban planners as well as design enthusiasts to learn, collaborate, experiment, make and share.

The central concept of the centre is to explore and interpret global design practices through the lens of AlUla's unique cultural and natural heritage.

It is a space for learning, dreaming, investigating, collaborating, experimenting, making and sharing – to fuel creative exploration and collaboration in the field of design.

What is Design Space AlUla?

Design Space AlUla is a new design centre and the first permanent gallery, archive and workshop space dedicated to showcasing design initiatives across AlUla.

Where is Design Space AlUla?

You’ll find Design Space AlUla in the heart of the AlJadidah Arts District.

What time can I visit?

Design Space AlUla is open weekdays (Sun to Thu) from 16:00 to 22:00 and weekends (Fri and Sat) from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 23:00.

Is there parking nearby?

Free parking is available at the Old Town South Parking or the larger Old Town North Car Park. Shuttle services are available from the parking zones to the entrance of Old Town or AlJadidah, respectively. Both areas are pedestrian-only and within easy walking distance of each other.

Are there places nearby to buy food and drink?

AlJadidah is filled with a range of food and drink options, including cool cafes and fun food trucks, just steps away from Design Space AlUla.
