Return of Ducasse and SASS’

Foodies in AlUla can rejoice as beloved fine dining restaurants ‘Ducasse in AlUla’ and ‘SASS’ AlUla’ make their much-awaited return later this year, right in time for the festivities and cooler climes of December (and beyond)

Legendary French Fine Dining

Opening on 4th December for a limited time only, the Ducasse in AlUla pop-up returns for its second edition, offering guests the chance to savour a selection of exquisite French dishes reimagined with local ingredients.

With 21 Michelin stars to his name, legendary French chef Alain Ducasse is one of the most celebrated names in the culinary world, known for his innovative approach to French cuisine. With his pop-up, he has brought his signature techniques and flair to AlUla, offering a refined and exclusive dining experience.

Combining locally sourced, fresh ingredients from the oasis farms of AlUla with the traditional flavours of French cuisine blended with Ducasse's family-run farm background, this ‘oasis-to-table' style restaurant is set to offer guests a one-of-a-kind new French menu and pop-up experience, surrounded by the lush AlUla Oasis.

Vibes and Atmosphere

A glamorous fine dining venue, SASS’ AlUla brings Monaco's style and DJ sets to the heart of AlUla, located within a beautiful canyon landscape. The restaurant takes guests on a desert escape to enjoy sophisticated high-quality dishes and beverages under a starlit sky.

SASS’ AlUla’s menu combines Mediterranean cuisine with Uruguayan open-fire cooking techniques. Guests can indulge in meticulously crafted menus showcasing an array of Mediterranean cuisine, such as homemade pasta, fish, and seafood.

Eager gastronomists can also explore the rich flavours of Uruguay at an open fire live cooking station, where select specialties like meats and vegetables are expertly prepared using traditional techniques from the ancient pampas of Uruguay, employing various cooking methods at both high and low temperatures.

Both restaurants join a tempting collection of eateries in AlUla, including Tama at Our Habitas AlUla, Harrat and Saffron at Banyan Tree AlUla, Joontos at Dar Tantora The House Hotel, and Maraya Social by Michelin Star Chef Jason Atherton, located atop the World’s Largest Mirrored Building, Maraya. Somewhere, located in the AlJadidah Arts District near the oasis, is another top choice.
