A curated lifestyle market, Tafoni is a new retail pop-up concept coming to AlJadidah. With everything from clothing to homewares and more, this uniquely curated store showcases local artisans and regional designers inspired by AlUla.

The Concept
The name for this unique luxury pop-up retail store is inspired by the famous honeycomb weathering that can be seen throughout AlUla – many spaces and pieces coming together to create a beautiful whole. As the windswept rocks of AlUla change, so will Tafoni. Each month brings a new version of the store to life, beginning with an exciting 3-day opening event.

The Curator

Rae Joseph

Truly an old soul with a modern mind, American-born Saudi Rae Joseph has morphed from international lawyer to vintage fashion connoisseur. Her multifaceted background brings a unique style to AlUla, blending vintage fashion, a Western outlook and her Arabic lineage to curate the first two incredible renditions of Tafoni in 2023.

In designing the second retail pop-up at Tafoni, Rae Joseph was inspired by the significant advancements happening in the Kingdom, particularly in the creative field. The new selection will include ready-to-wear, jewellery, accessories and beauty products. In addition to the retail aspect, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy live art installations by one of Saudi’s rising stars in the art world, Lama AlShenaifi.
