Getting to AlUla by air or by car is easy, and once you’ve arrived, you have several options for getting around. Visitor information centres and tour companies are also available to assist you on your trip, ensuring a welcoming and accessible experience.

SAUDI ARABIA EVISA
Tourist visas are currently suspended to the Kingdom due to COVID-19. Once the Kingdom reopens, a tourist eVisa will be available country-wide for travellers 18 and older from 49 eligible countries. It is a simple application online that takes 24 hours to process. The eVisa will be a one-year, multiple-entry visa, allowing tourists to spend up to 90 days in the country.
DRIVING TO ALULA
Car rental is cost-effective and readily available in Saudi Arabia. Affordable fuel prices and well-maintained roads and highways that connect the major cities in Saudi Arabia make driving to AlUla an enjoyable experience.

International drivers should carry a valid driving licence from their country of residence; an international driving licence is also highly recommended.

AlUla is a three-hour drive from both Medina to the south and Tabuk to the north by car. Both cities have several rental-car companies to choose from. If you are looking for an adventure and have more time to explore, longer road trips from Jeddah and Riyadh are a great way to explore some of Saudi Arabia’s other destinations on the way to AlUla.
FLYING TO ALULA
Saudia Airlines flies into and out of AlUla’s Prince Abdul Majeed Bin Abdulaziz Domestic Airport (ULH). The newly renovated airport is a beautiful and welcoming entrance into AlUla, located just 35 km (a 30-minute drive) from the city centre.

AlUla is served by four flights a week from Riyadh as well as two flights from Jeddah and Dammam. Check Saudia Airlines for latest flight information.
GETTING AROUND ALULA

There are a few options for travelling around AlUla during your stay. You can ride a taxi, rent a car with a driver or without, from the following companies:

Popular ride-share service Careem is also available in AlUla.

VISITOR INFORMATION CENTRES
To find the latest information and advice use the Visitor Centres at Winter Park, Dadan/Jabal Ikmah and Hegra. Information desks are also located at Prince Abdul Majeed Bin Abdulaziz Domestic Airport in AlUla, as well as at Shaden Resort, and Sahary AlUla Resort.
COVID-19 Precautions
Body temperature checks are being carried out on all visitors arriving. Furthermore, in all public places, people are reminded to wear masks and maintain a safe distance of two metres apart and avoid physical contact unless absolutely necessary.

Staff and visitors alike are being prompted to wash their hands frequently with soap and water. You’ll find plenty of sanitisation stations at the main sites. Where handwashing facilities are not immediately available, sanitiser gel dispensers are provided.

A number of essential employees are on-site at any one time. Staff who come into contact with visitors are provided with masks and gloves. High-touch items and surfaces are disinfected frequently and areas are kept well ventilated.
