    Winter at Tantora runs for 12 weekends from 19 December 2019 to 7 March 2020. The festival runs from Thursday to Saturday each week.

    How do I get tickets?add

    Can I attend just some of the events?add

    There are one-day or weekend packages available or you can purchase individual tickets to select events.

    Are any of the events weather-dependent?add

    Yes. Several events are weather-dependent and these will be clearly communicated to you upon booking. If any events are fully cancelled due to bad weather, refunds will be available.

    Are there special festival packages?add

    All packages are bespoke and built to each individual’s requirements. We have different levels of tickets – Gold, Platinum and Diamond, these can then be supplemented with different events, dining experiences etc to create an experience just for you. View all pakages.

    How do I get to the festival? How do I get around once I am there?add

    AlUla by road is approximately 3.5 hours from Medina. If you are flying it is necessary to purchase a flight with your festival tickets, and festival organizers can arrange this for you. Flights are every Thursday and Friday from Jeddah and Riyadh to AlUla and return every Friday and Saturday. As part of your itinerary you will be able to book a space on the shuttle buses, an SUV transfer or a private car. Our travel advisors will be able to advise on what will best suit your needs and budget.

    Are there places to stay at the festival?add

    There are different options for accommodations at the festival, all ranging in facilities, amenities and cost. Please visit the Book Your Trip section to see all accommodation types.

    What kind of restaurants and other amenities should I expect?add

    Ashar Resort, Shaden and Sahari accommodations all have on-site restaurants and breakfast is included in your stay. Food trucks and specially selected pop-up “Taste of AlUla” restaurants are also part of the festival experience and your package.

    How far is the airport from central AlUla?add

    The airport is about 30-40 minutes drive from central AlUla and its hotels. You will be met at the airport and assisted into your booked transport.

    Is it possible to come to the Festival without a ticket?add

    No, to ensure guest experience it at a premium level access is tightly controlled. You will not be able to arrive at the festival events without a ticket. There are events that can be individually bought and attended but it is still necessary to pre-purchase a ticket from the website or sales booth in AlUla.

    Will there be Wi-Fi at the festival?add

    There are Wi-Fi hotspots at select locations and all hotels. However, if traveling from abroad, it is advised to purchase a local SIM card from one of the telecom providers at the Riyadh or Jeddah airports.

    What will the weather be like? How cold does it get in winter when attending this event?add

    Winter is the best time to visit AlUla, with temperatures ranging from 10-25 degrees Celsius (45-70 degrees Fahrenheit). It does get colder at night, so it is important to pack some warm clothing.

    What is the local currency? Can I exchange foreign currency there?add

    The local currency is Saudi Riyals. There are ATMs in AlUla, but no currency exchange, so you should plan to exchange money in the Riyadh or Jeddah airports.

    Are there any special items I should bring on my trip?add

    A camera! You won’t want to miss all the great photos you’ll get.

    What are the local customs and dress code?add

    To be respectful of local customs we suggest both men and women dress modestly (with knees and elbows covered). Flat comfortable shoes are recommended when visiting various sites and experiences, since walking over varied terrain is often involved. For electronics, AlUla uses the same plugs as in the United Kingdom.

    Can women travel to Saudi Arabia alone?add

    Yes, certainly. Saudi Arabia is a very safe country for lone travelers and has a very low crime rate.

    What are the visa requirements for traveling to Saudi Arabia, and how long will it take to get one?add

    A tourist e-visa is now available country-wide. It is a simple application online that takes 24 hours to process. You will receive guidance on applying for a visa once you purchase your ticket or visit for more information.
